WARSAW — A Warsaw church shared its egg hunt with the community this year.
On Saturday, April 3, children collected eggs at Central Park, Warsaw, as part of Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church’s Easter egg hunt. Organizers estimated 100 children showed up.
Church Director of Children’s Ministries Hannah Hackenberg said normally the hunt happens inside the church building at 210 S. High St. However due to COVID-19, the church opted to have the hunt outdoors.
“We were super excited to spread it out to the community this year,” said Hackenberg.
She said there were more children at the hunt this year than normal.
“We’re just trying to bring joy to the city and just bring love and … let everyone have fun,” she said of what the church hoped to do for the community through the event.
