John I. Schuh
John I. Schuh, 85, Warsaw, passed away at 1:45 a.m. on Friday, March 19, 2021, at his home. He was born on Sept. 23, 1935, in Columbia City, to Waldo E. and Sarah Ilene (King) Schuh.
He attended grade school in Columbia City, graduated in 1953 from Warsaw High School, and served in the United States Army Reserves. He was married Sept. 10, 1955, in Angola, to Virginia C. “Ginny” Vining who survives. He retired from United Telephone Co. in Warsaw after 35 years. He lived most of his life in the Warsaw area except for 13 years in Sarasota, Fla.
He was a member of the New Life Christian Church and World Outreach in Warsaw and On Eagles Wings Ministry.
He is survived by his wife, Ginny Schuh of Warsaw; daughter, Jodi Susaraba of Warsaw; son, Jerry (Diane) Schuh of Warsaw; four grandchildren: Jeremy (Ashley) Schuh, Josh (Ginger) Schuh, Lisa Bartholomew, and Hannah Cee Susaraba; nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Rebekah Lyn Susaraba, son-in-law, David A. Susaraba, and two brothers, Richard and Jerry Schuh.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. No services are planned. Private burial will take place in the Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.
