Warsaw Woman Arrested For Burglary, Theft
Staff Report
WARSAW — A Warsaw woman was recently arrested after entering a residence without permission and stealing items.
Lee Ann Lowrance, 37, 519 W. Winona Ave., Warsaw, was booked for burglary, a level 4 felony; and theft, a class A misdemeanor.
On Dec. 16, 2020, a man went to Warsaw Police Department to report a theft. The man said when he went to his residence on Dec. 6, 2020, he found that several items were missing. He had not been back at his residence since Dec. 4, 2020.
According to court documents, the man said a gaming system, tools and other household goods were stolen. The total value of the missing items was $750. The man had a camera recording in his residence and reviewed the footage. In the footage, Lowrance and two other people are seen entering the residence and taking items out. He said the footage showed the theft occurred on Dec. 5, 2020.
On Jan. 4, a Warsaw Police officer reviewed the video footage. The officer contacted the two people Lowrance was with and asked them about the burglary. They told the officer that as far as they knew, Lowrance only took items that belonged to her.
On Jan. 5, the officer spoke with the man about the burglary. He said Lowrance had been living at the residence a week prior to him leaving his home on Dec. 4, 2020. The man said Lowrance should not have a key to the home and must have entered through a window. He also said the room Lowrance and the two other people were shown going into was his bedroom. The man said none of Lowrance’s items were in his room and that the only items she owned in the residence were her clothing.
Lowrance was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on March 20, with a $15,250 surety and cash bond.
