Charlotte M. Rupp — UPDATED
Charlotte M. Rupp, 92, Syracuse, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 at her residence in Syracuse. She was born Sept. 25, 1928, in Mishawaka to the late Dean and Hattie (Ruff) Rider. In 1947, Charlotte married John W. Rupp. They were married for 52 years before John passed away in 1999.
Charlotte was a lifelong resident of Mishawaka. She worked on the assembly line for Tri Tech before retiring. Charlotte was very active in her life – playing volleyball and bowling well into her 70s and 80s. She also loved reading, word searches and jigsaw puzzles. Charlotte was also an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs.
Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Sally (Terry) Day of Syracuse; son, Jerry (Pam) Rupp of Mishawaka; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Charlotte is also survived by her sister, Lillie Geldner of Tippecanoe; and brother, Bill Rider of Jimtown.
Along with her parents and husband, John, Charlotte is preceded in death by her sons, Bill Rupp and Raymond Rupp; and brothers, Jim Rider and Jack Rider.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 26, at Palmer Funeral Homes-Bubb Chapel, 3910 N Main St, Mishawaka 46545. Friends may visit with the family from noon-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow immediately at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
