Jonathan B. Wells, better known as “Big Jon”, 59, Warsaw, passed away from a long time battle with his health, Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021, surrounded by his family. Jon was born on March 21, 1961, in Wabash to Harry and Jean (Jefferies) Wells. He married Teresa Johnson Dec. 1, 2013; she survives.
Big Jon was a fun loving, free spirited man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He enjoyed art, photography, golf, shooting his guns at the range and was a diehard Green Bay Packers fan. He loved wearing bib overalls, playing music and singing Karaoke, especially Black Betty and also owned Honky-tonk Karaoke. One of his favorite things to do was watch horror and sci-fi shows with his family. Family meant everything to Jon and he loved spending time with all of them, but the grandkids held a special spot in his heart. Jon touched the lives of many people and will be missed.
Jon is survived by his wife Teresa; children, Traci (Carson) Parker of Pierceton; Amanda Wells of Milford; Jared (Stephanie) Hamsher of Nappanee; and Noelle (Charles) Pate of Goshen; ten grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also surviving are two sisters: Stephanie Wells and Deborah Fink of Bourbon; and longtime friend Amy Wells of Milford.
A celebration of his life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 20, at the American Legion in Bourbon. Friends can gather to share memories from 1-5 p.m. at the Legion.
Memorial donations in Jon’s honor may be given to the family.
