Syracuse Man Airlifted To South Bend After Crash

GOSHEN — Larry Rosenberry, 80, Syracuse, was transported to Memorial Hospital, South Bend, by MedFlight Wednesdayt, March 17, following a two-vehicle accident.
The accident occurred at 7:46 a.m. at the intersection of CR 38 and CR 19 near Goshen. Rosenberry suffered a head injury and complained of pain to the chest.
Elkhart County Sheriff’s officers report Ramon Santiago, 28, Syracuse, was northbound in a 2011 Ford Fusion on CR 19, south of CR 38, when he failed to yield the right-of-way. His vehicle collided with the driver’s side door of Rosenberry’s vehicle. Rosenberry, driving a 2008 Ford, was westbound on CR 38. After impact, both vehicles went off the roadway and into a ditch.
Santiago refused medical treatment. He was cited for failure to yield the right-of-way.
