Steve Momotiuk
Steve Momotiuk, 75, Goshen, died at 8:58 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2021, at his home.
He was born Feb. 2, 1946, in Bad Horn, Germany, to Dmytro and Antonina (Melnychuk) Momotiuk. On Sept. 9, 1972, he married Janina Adamiak Momotiuk.
Surviving are his wife, Janina, Goshen; four children: Andrew (Michele) Momotiuk, Kalamazoo, Mich.; Alex Momotiuk, Goshen; Tania (Craig) Jones, Middlebury; and Kathy (Charles) Haney, Gosport; and 13 grandchildren: Nicholas, Christopher, Jonathan, Michael, Stephen, Nathan, Elizabeth, Tetiana, Elliana, Matthew, William, Sophie and Lucy.
Preceding him in death are his parents and three brothers: Alex, Robert and Milet Momotiuk.
Steve served in the U.S. Army. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for almost 20 years. He was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where he sang in the choir and taught Sunday school.
Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the service following at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 18, all at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 417 S. Main St., Goshen. The service will be streamed through YouTube https://youtube.com/channel/UCW4UrLgN5o8P6cBJFz9JGIw and the church Facebook page Facebook.com/stjohngoshen. Father Royce Gregerson will officiate, and burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.
