Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 5:36 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, South SR 25, west of South Bruner Road, Warsaw. Driver: Michael D. Wright, 64, South Walnut Street, Burket. Wright was traveling north on SR 25 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $25,000.
- 6:46 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, West CR 100S, west of South CR 675W, Warsaw. Driver: Brenda J. McCormick, 63, South SR 19, Bourbon. McCormick was traveling east on West CR 100S when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $5,000.
- 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, North SR 19, south of West CR 1100N, Nappanee. Driver: Linda M. Davis, 60, Gable Drive, Warsaw. Davis was traveling north on SR 19 when her vehicle struck and killed a horse. Davis complained of wrist pain but didn’t request EMS. Damage up to $10,000.
- 2:18 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, East Levi Lee Road, east of Edgewood Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Jeffrey A. Palazzolo, 56, North Old SR 15, Warsaw. Palazzolo was traveling west on Levi Lee Road. Just prior to reaching the intersection of Edgewood Drive, his vehicle drifted off the roadway and hit a mailbox and mailbox post. Palazzolo said he wasn’t paying attention when his vehicle left the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.
- 3:18 p.m. Monday, March 15, North SR 19, north of West CR 250N, Etna Green. Driver: Steve A. Townsend, 69, East CR 700N, Rochester. Townsend was traveling south on North SR 19 when he lost control of his vehicle due to weather conditions. His vehicle left the roadway and rolled on the driver’s side. Damage up to $5,000.
- 7:53 a.m. Monday, March 15, South SR 25, north of South CR 550W, Warsaw. Driver: Kayla T. Hyde, 28, South CR 600W, Mentone. Hyde was traveling south on South SR 25 when her vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 4:41 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, North SR 15, north of West CR 300N, Warsaw. Drivers: Anna C. Forks, 23, West CR 700S, Claypool; and Becky L. Ounkham, 40, East Barrington Place, Warsaw. Forks was traveling south on North SR 15 when she rear-ended Ounkham’s vehicle. Forks complained of head and neck pain but refused treatment at the scene. Damage up to $2,500.
- 1:29 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, US 30, west of South CR 250E, Warsaw. Driver: Jozef Kostrzewa, 65, East Morrison Avenue, Mount Prospect, Ill. Kostrzewa was traveling east in the right hand lane on US 30 when his vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $10,000.
- 9:01 p.m. Monday, March 15, 3611 Commerce Drive, Warsaw. Driver: Drew M. Croslow, 32, West Elm Avenue 210, Charleston, Ill. Croslow was backing his vehicle into a parking space when the trailer of his vehicle hit a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 3:19 p.m. Monday, March 15, South Union Street and Eagle Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Raleyah E. Ross, 21, South Union Street, Warsaw; and Juan C. Leon, 32, Kinney Drive, Warsaw. Ross was traveling east on Eagle Street, stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of South Union Street, Warsaw. She didn’t see Leon’s vehicle traveling south on Union Street and pulled in front of him to turn right, causing a collision. Ross said her side window was fogged up. Damage up to $10,000.
- 1:03 p.m. Monday, March 15, North Detroit Street, north of Lyon Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Abigael J. Ngoumape, 23, East CR 400S, Warsaw; and Chad M. Collier, 47, North Arbutus Trail, Warsaw. Ngoumape was traveling north on North Detroit Street when she turned into Collier’s path of travel. Damage up to $2,500.
Fulton County
Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 1:40 a.m. Tuesday, March 16, SR 25 and CR 575N, Rochester. Driver: David L. Horvath, 41, Rochester. Hit a dog.
- 4:13 p.m. Monday, March 15, Southway 31, Rochester. Driver: Aricka M. Ulery, 28, Peru. Ulery’s vehicle went off the road.
- 3:35 p.m. Monday, March 15, US 31 and CR 100N, Rochester. Driver: Steven M. Hunter, 34, Peru. Hunter’s vehicle went off the road.
- 3:06 p.m. Monday, March 15, Old US 31 and CR 150S, Rochester. Driver: Paige J. Minor, 17, Rochester. Minor’s vehicle went off the road and rolled over.
- 12:16 p.m. Monday, March 15, Parkway Lane, Rochester. Drivers: Athesian A. Grubbs, 25, Rochester; and Amanda S. Fell, 32, Rochester. Grubbs’ vehicle backed into Fell’s vehicle.
- 11:48 a.m. Sunday, March 14, CR 800E, Akron. Driver: Doug Miller, no other information reported. Miller’s vehicle went off the road and hit a pole.
- 7:44 a.m. Sunday, March 14, SR 14 and CR 300W, Rochester. Driver: Rita D. Conley, 70, Peru. Hit deer.
Marshall County
Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
- 4:25 p.m. Saturday, March 13, Veterans Parkway, west of Lilac Road, Plymouth. Driver: Matthew D. Siegal, no age listed, Argos. Siegal was eastbound on Veterans Parkway on a 2003 Aprilia motorcycle when it went off the roadway and rolled. Siegal was thrown from the motorcycle. He was found unresponsive and airlifted for evaluation and treatment.
