Kosciusko County
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 5:49 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, North SR 15, near West CR 400N, Warsaw. Driver: Jeffery M. Simmons, 27, West Winchester Drive, Silver Lake. Simmons was traveling north on SR 15 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.
- 10:38 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 106 S. Higbee St., Milford. Driver: Drew T. Brewton, 33, East Woodland Acres Drive, Syracuse. Brewton was traveling in a parking lot when his vehicle hit a light pole. Damage up to $5,000.
- 3:13 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, West CR 1350N, near North CR 600W, Nappanee. Drivers: Dacalvin M. Oliver, 22, Sylvan Lane, South Bend; and Ronald W. Sweet, 53, North Stanley Street, North Webster. Oliver’s vehicle was stopped at a stop sign when he then pulled his vehicle out into the intersection, hitting Sweet’s vehicle. Damage up to $10,000.
- 6:15 a.m. Saturday, March 6, South SR 25, east of South Bruner Road, Warsaw. Driver: Kory J. Fields, 36, North Morgan Street, Mentone. Fields was traveling west on South SR 25 when a deer entered the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.
Milford
Officers with the Milford Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, North Higbee Street, near West Syracuse Street, Milford. Drivers: Steven C. Lindsey, 28, North Shaffer Street, Milford; and Michelle L. Hurst, 46, East Beer Road, Milford. Hurst’s vehicle was stopped at a red light when her vehicle was rear-ended by Lindsey’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
- 4:15 p.m. Friday, March 5, Old SR 15, south of Van Buren Street, Leesburg. Driver: Tanya N. Helser, 45, North Aspen Drive, Warsaw. Helser was traveling south on Old SR 15 when her vehicle went off the roadway and hit a Nipsco utility pole, breaking it into multiple pieces. Her vehicle then crossed both lanes of traffic and came to rest on the west side of the roadway in a field. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $50,000.
North Webster
Officers with the North Webster Police Department investigated the following accident:
- 11:36 a.m. Thursday, March 11, North SR 13, north of North CR 800E, North Webster. Driver: Heather E. Cooper, 31, West Miller Street, Ligonier. Cooper was traveling south when her vehicle hit a bump in the roadway, causing her vehicle’s trailer to come off its hitch, leave the roadway and hit a sign. Damage up to $1,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 6:20 a.m. Thursday, March 11, SR 15, near 059D ramp, Warsaw. Drivers: Carlos Cabrera, 41, East Market Street, Warsaw; and Benjamin R. Sweeny, 38, East Woodland Court, Leesburg. Cabrera was traveling north on SR 15 and was waiting to turn onto a ramp for US 30 while Sweeny’s vehicle was traveling south on SR 15. Sweeny said Cabrera’s vehicle stopped as if to yield for northbound traffic. Cabrera’s vehicle then turned across Sweeny’s lane of travel as Sweeny was traveling south on SR 15. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $25,000.
- 5:58 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, East Center Street, east of Frontage Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Tristan B. Puckett, 20, East Center Street 123, Warsaw; and Sandra E. Miller, 67, North Beechwood Street, Warsaw. Puckett was traveling east on East Center Street when he rear-ended Miller’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 12:05 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, 120 S. Lake St., Warsaw. Drivers: unknown. A witness was sitting in her vehicle when she saw a vehicle hit a handrail and guardrail at a business. That vehicle’s driver left the scene. Damage up to $5,000.
- 5:11 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, East Center Street, east of North Scott Street, Warsaw. Drivers: unknown; and Nancy A. Church, 87, South SR 13, Pierceton. Church was traveling east on East Center Street when an unknown driver hit the right side of her vehicle as she traveled through an intersection on a green light. This caused Church’s vehicle to hit the side of an apartment at 1010 E. Center St., Warsaw. A witness said a dark-colored Jeep caused the damage to Church’s vehicle and left the scene. Church had left hand bruising, as well as left knee and chest pain due to the accident. She was released from medics’ care at the scene. Damage up to $50,000.
- 4:02 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 801 E. Center St., Warsaw. Driver: Deloris A. Aughinbaugh, 75, East CR 1200S, North Manchester. Aughinbaugh was traveling south on North Reed Street and was making a left turn into a parking lot when the sun blinded her, causing her vehicle to hit a light pole. No injuries were reported in the accident. Damage up to $10,000.
- 3:37 p.m. Tuesday, March 9, 1160 Executive Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: unknown; and Jessica V. Jimenez, 20, Anchorage Road, Warsaw. Jimenez’s vehicle was in a parking space when an unknown driver backed into her vehicle and left the scene. Damage up to $1,000.

Officers with the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:
- 7:38 p.m. Wednesday, March 10, SR 114, Akron. Driver: Emily Kitch, 25, Akron. Hit deer.
