Patricia “Pat” Michele Milcherska
Patricia “Pat” Michele Milcherska, 61, Winona Lake, passed away at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 2021, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne.
She was born Sept. 12, 1959, in Osceola, to Evelyn (Welker) Young and Fred Young.
Pat attended Penn High School in Mishawaka and had been a resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana for the past 20 years. She was a familiar face that greeted and served thousands of people over her lifetime when she worked as a waitress at Bob Evan’s for many years and as a deli clerk at Marsh Supermarket in Warsaw for six years prior to its closing. Pat also had one of the toughest jobs in the world-a loving single mother. She was a teacher, a doctor, a nurse, a cook, a maid, a referee, a driver, a cheerleader, a protector and a hardworking provider who always did the best for her children with plenty of love to spare. She spent so many hours on her feet that when she wasn’t working, she loved to relax, put her feet up and she enjoyed watching movies, especially crime shows. Pat will be forever loved and missed by her family.
She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons: Chris Young, Winona Lake; Damien Easterday, Winona Lake; daughter: Shawna Miller, South Bend; and three grandchildren: Dylan, Bailey, and Caitlin. Also surviving are two brothers: John (Torry) Young, Osceola; Fred (Dawn) Young, Jr., Osceola; three sisters: Jill (Ron) Davis, DeFuniak Springs, Fla.; Roberta (Ed) Burgess, Altamont, Ill.; and Chris Richey, Warsaw. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Mike and Jack and her son, D.J.
No services are planned, her family will mourn her loss privately but welcome prayers for her passing. She will be laid to rest at a later date at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
Online condolences may be sent through the funeral home’s website at www.redpathfruthfuneralhome.com.
