Michael Bernero

Michael Angelo Bernero, 82 of Plymouth, died at 9:23 p.m.  March 3, 2021, at his residence.

On March 7, 1938, in Plymouth, he was born to Frank W. Bernero and Cecila (Kinsey) Bernero. He had lived all of his life in the Plymouth community.

On Aug. 17, 1957, in Knox, he Married Veronica Evelyn Estok and together they shared 50 years until she passed away on June 10, 2008.

He worked for NIPSCO in the Underground Storage and Gas Line Departments.

Bernero was a graduate of Plymouth High School with the class of 1956. He served in the United States Army from 1956 – 1958 as a MP.

He had been affiliated with St. Michael Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, Plymouth. Bernero formed the Marshall County Tax Awareness Committee and served as the president.

Michael is survived by his son, Marc Bernero and wife Lisa of Plymouth; daughters, Charlene Espich and husband James of Plymouth and Rhonda Schuh of Plymouth; five grandchildren and a great-grandson; and sister, Kathy Trout and husband Art of Akron.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Patrick; and sisters, Mona Stetler, Sondra Kamp, Diane Bernero, and Mary Dipert

Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday March 8, at the New Oakhill Cemetery; 1300 Chester St., Plymouth, with burial will follow.
