Paul V. Stiver — UPDATED
Paul V. Stiver, 73, passed away at 6:43 a.m. Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Paul was born the son of Vere H. and Phyllis I. (Cline) Stiver on Oct. 28, 1947, in Bremen, and remained a lifelong resident of the area. He was part of the 1965 graduating class of Bourbon High School. After high school, Paul attended Tri State (Trine University) for two years.
On May 17, 1980, Paul married the love of his life, Brenda Karle. He worked for several years as a telephone utility employee at United Telephone Company (later known as Sprint, Embarq, then Century Link). Paul proudly served his country in the military. He was a member of the Argos Lions Club, as well as the Disabled American Veterans. During his free time, he enjoyed model trains, cars and photography. He also enjoyed watching the Argos Community School’s athletic events.
Those who survive with cherished memories of Paul are his loving wife, Brenda; stepdaughter, Dawn Peters of Rochester; stepson, Daryl Peters of Rochester; granddaughter, Amanda (Josh) Mills of Oxford, Miss.; and great-grandchild, Cohen. His brother, Steve (Cindy) Stiver of Warsaw, also survives. He is preceded in death by his mother (Aug. 18, 2011) and his father (April 30, 2008).
A graveside service will be held at a later time and will be announced when a date is established. Burial will occur at the Bremen Cemetery.
