IHSWCA Details Their Academic All-State Selections

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana High School Wrestling Coaches Association announced its choices for the 2020-21 Academic All-State picks for the wrestling season.
A total of 516 wrestlers were noted on the lists for senior and juniors. First Team All-State were given to those who have a 3.75 GPA or higher, and Honorable Mention All-State for those carrying at least a 3.25-3.74 GPA.
Three local programs had wrestlers highlighted. Warsaw had senior Kevin Fouts named First Team and classmate Jacob Linky named Honorable Mention.
Tippecanoe Valley had juniors Brandon Hammer and Drake Montelongo both named First Team and classmates Joel Cisneros and Branson McBrier named Honorable Mention.
NorthWood senior Blake Herr was named First Team, Panther seniors Hunter Lechlitner and Joas Miller along with junior Trey Tobias all were Honorable Mention Academic All-State.
