Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

• 8:19 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, North CR 800W, south of West CR 640N, Etna Green. Driver: Crystal M. Galindo, 31, CR 22, Elkhart. Galindo said she was traveling north on CR 800W when a vehicle traveling south crossed over the center line. Galindo moved closer to the edge of the road to avoid a collision. Her vehicle went off the roadway. Damage up to $1,000.
• 2:11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, West CR 600N, west of North CR 200W, Warsaw. Driver: Raeann J. Ihnen, 16, East View Lane, Warsaw. Ihnen’s vehicle struck a deer. Damage up to $5,000.

Syracuse

Officers with the Syracuse Police Department investigated the following accidents:

• 2:52 a.m. Monday, Feb. 22, East CR 1300N, Syracuse. Driver: Jeffery D. Messer, 59, North CR 300E, Syracuse. Messer’s vehicle was traveling west when it hit slush and was pulled off the roadway. Damage up to $2,500.
• 5:20 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, Huntington Street, south of South Harkless Drive, Syracuse. Driver: Tyler Bosstick, 18, Happiness Drive, Syracuse. Bosstick said he was returning home from work and dozed off behind the wheel. His vehicle went off the roadway and into an open field. Damage up to $2,500.
• 4:50 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, SR 13, Syracuse. Drivers: Alexis H. Rodriguez, 17, Sunset Drive, Syracuse; and Michael A. Slabaugh, 59, North CR 450E, Syracuse. Rodriguez’s vehicle rear-ended Slabaugh’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
