Wawasee picked up a big non-conference win Friday night over the visiting Knights.
The Warriors caught fire from behind the arc, hitting 11 three-pointers on the night, five in the fourth quarter. Kam Salazar and Ethan Carey both hit three from deep, combining for 20 total points, adding nine rebounds, eight assists and six steals.
Keaton Dukes led the Warriors (9-11) with 18 points and seven rebounds, a game after posting a career-high 34 points. Collin Roberson added 16 points.
Max Bender led the Knights (7-13) with 14 points and Braeden Ball added 12 points.
Jay Finlinson stroked the net for 15 points to lead the Warriors to a 40-37 JV win. Carson Smith added 10 points in the win. Owen Ritchie had 14 points for the visitors.
Lakeland Christian 59, Oregon-Davis 58
LCA hit the road and won a contest against a potential regional opponent Friday night.
Silas Gagnon scored seven of his 10 points in the fourth quarter and Cam Shepherd drilled a key three late in the fourth for the Cougars. Landon Gause led LCA (9-8) with 16 points, Shepherd had 14 points and Hunter Rice added 10.
Playing short handed even more so tonight we were in a battle,” said LCA head coach Jake Ritchie. “Oregon-Davis is a very good and very physical team. We knew going into it that we needed to match their intensity and effort to have any chance. It is a good feeling to know we have that ability and extra gear to get to coming into the postseason.”

Cade Brenner caught fire for the Panthers in a runaway win at The Pit.
Brenner was 13-21 from the floor and tallied 33 points to lead the Panthers (11-8), also chipping in four rebounds, four assists and three steals. Ian Raasch and Brock Bontrager each had eight points and nine rebounds and Cooper Wiens tossed in nine points.
Bryce Coursen led the Eagles (7-11) with 20 points and six assists.
