Charolette J. Bond — UPDATED
Charolette J. Bond, 79, North Webster, passed away at 3:05 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2021, at her granddaughter’s home in North Webster.
She was born on July 26, 1941, in Windber, Pa., to Alvin Quay and Londa Vermont (Shaffer) Lambert.
She moved to Akron, Ohio, in 1956, graduated in 1959 from Garfield High School in Akron, Ohio, and moved to Indiana in 1971.
She was married on Sept. 23, 1977, in Coldwater, Mich., to Chester Herbert “Chet” Bond. He preceded her in death on Aug. 12, 2013.
She formerly worked at Vega Corp., Syracuse, and retired from Tri-County Fish & Wildlife, Syracuse, after 32 years. She also drove truck and heavy equipment for Bond Excavating for many years.
She formerly attended the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Windber, Pa., and loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and especially mushroom hunting. Her last time hunting she got her largest deer, which was 13 points.
She loved her hummingbirds, enjoyed reading and watching the Hallmark Channel, was an avid bingo player and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren more than anything.
She is survived by her daughter, Lonie (Terry Elliott) Bloom, North Webster; two grandchildren, Dustin Sieglinger and Danyelle (Wes) Hubbs; three great-grandchildren, Ethan, Sylus and Charlotte; several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren; five stepdaughters, Janice, Kathy, Linda, Susan and Cindy; three stepsons, Dennis, Kenny and Wayne; her sister, Darlene Lamb, Ohio; and two brothers, Albert Lambert, Illinois, and Ivan Lambert, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant son; stepdaughter Jodi Bond; three great-grandchildren, Quinten Price, Harland Hubbs and Atley Hubbs; and two brothers, Quay and Earl Lambert.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. Private burial will be in the Mock Addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
