Warsaw Officials Asking For Cooperation Ahead of Snowstorm
Staff Report
WARSAW – City officials in Warsaw are asking residents to park in an off-street location if possible to make it easier to clear snow tonight and Tuesday.
Much of Indiana is expected to receive heavy snow Monday and into Tuesday morning.
“If you can park your car off-street, please do so! Our snowplow crews are awesome at what they do, but there is no way they can avoid plowing in parked vehicles with that amount of snowfall,” the city said in a Facebook post on Monday, Feb. 15.
Kosciusko County is expected to receive six to 10 inches of snow by Tuesday morning, the National Weather Service said.
The city is asking for patience as street crews remove snow.
“They’ve been clearing snow piles all week to prepare for this storm, and they will work tirelessly until our streets are safe and clear,” the statement said.
The city also asks residents to clear snow from their sidewalks along their property and consider lending a hand to neighbors who are unable to do this themselves.
