Lego Crew Challenge, Reading Program Among Activities At The Milford Public Library
News Release
MILFORD — The following activities are taking place at the Milford Public Library this month:
Lego Crew Challenge
Up for the challenge? The library is once again challenging children to create amazing things from Legos.
In January, the challenge was to create a snowman. The library staff was blown away by the creativity these children showed in their finished snowmen. It was a tough choice, but congratulations to Hadley Granger. Hadley won a 194 piece Frozen II Lego kit. One of the library staff members, Trisha, was told that Hadley put her prize together as soon as she got home.
The library has changed things up a little bit for February. They are asking that children create whatever they like, but they can only use pink, red, purple and white Legos. Parents, please take a photo of the finished item and send it to [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> by Monday, Feb. 22. You do not need a library card to participate. Invite your friends to join the fun.
Adult Reading Program
Milford Public Library is celebrating our love of reading this winter with the Adult Reading Program. It is free to participate. Please sign up in the Adult Department or call 658-4312. For each book or Ebook read or audiobook listened to, enter your name and phone number in a weekly drawing for a chance to win a $25 gift card. Sharon Matti is our latest winner; she received a $25 Visa gift card. The program runs until the end of March.
Virtual Piano Concert
For one week, the library is offering a free virtual piano concert. The theme for the concert is Video Game, TV and movie theme songs!
