Karen Dian Ellison

Karen Dian Ellison, 66, Warsaw, passed away at 9:07 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. She was born Nov. 5, 1954, in Columbia City, to John and Marilyn (Eberhart) Stoner.
She was a 47 year resident of Warsaw. On Nov. 3, 1973, in South Whitley, she was united in marriage to James Ellison. She was a member of the Milford First Brethren Church. She also worked as a custodian at the church. During her life, Karen went thru the Purdue Extension program and was a certified Master Gardener. She was a former 4-H leader and was instrumental in bringing the log cabin to the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds. She also participated in historical reenactments for over 20 years.
She is survived by her husband: James Ellison of Warsaw; children: Lisa (Chris) Motts of Rochester, Minn.; Jennifer Rowe of Leesburg; brother: Scott (companion Marta Harshbarger) Stoner of Columbia City; grandchildren: Kyla Clark, Judus Clark, and Millie Motts.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen and her brother, Miles.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m.-noon, Tuesday, Feb. 16, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton with Pastor Lee Compson officiating.
Due to current COVID-19 recommendations, masks are required. The public is kindly requested to provide their own. Social distancing is strongly encouraged. No food permitted at this time.
