Holcomb Directs Flags To Be Lowered In Memory Of Susan Bayh
News Release
INDIANAPOLIS — Gov. Eric Holcomb is directing flags across the state to be flown at half-staff to honor former state First Lady Susan Bayh.
Flags should be flown at half-staff in her honor from now until sunset on Thursday, Feb. 18, according to a news release from the governor.
Bayh served as Indiana’s first lady for eight years after her husband, Evan Bayh, was elected governor in 1988.
Bayh was a lawyer and died Feb. 5. She was 61. Her family said she had been under treatment for brain cancer.
Holcomb asks businesses and residents to lower their flags.
