Robert Andrew Varab
Robert Andrew Varab, 74, passed away on Feb. 4, 2021, at the Hospice House in Mishawaka.
He was born the son of Andrew and Goldie (Kozma) Varab on March 11, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio. On Aug. 20, 1980, he married Wanda Caldwell, who preceded him in death on Feb. 6, 2013. He married Julie Wilson on July 12, 2013. He proudly served his country as a member of the Air Force from April 8, 1963, to March 3, 1965. He worked in carpentry, construction, and was a foreman at Lau in Rochester, as well as various other factories. During his free time, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Argos.
Those who will miss Bob are his wife: Julie; sons: Mark Varab and Laura Bailey, Elkhart; and Steve (Amy) Varab, Shockapee, Minn.; and numerous step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also missing him are his sister: Barbara Winnebeck, New York; and brother: Raymond Varab, Culver. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife: Wanda; grandchild: Blake Varab; and brother: Roger Varab.
A public visitation will take place at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, with a funeral to follow at 2 p.m. Both will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ in Argos, (15676 Michigan Road, Argos, IN 46501). Pastor Lloyd Howard will be officiating. Burial will take place at New Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth. In accordance with the continuing COVID-19 regulations, wearing of masks, as well as social distancing, will be required.
