Robert Dale Fox
Robert Dale Fox, 91, Bremen, passed away peacefully at home the morning of Jan. 29, 2021.
He was born Feb. 10, 1929, in Saint Joseph County, the son of the late Earl & Ethel (Potts) Fox. He graduated from Madison Township High School. He married Joan Mae Hepler Nov. 4, 1950. She preceded him in death Oct. 27, 2020.
Robert served in the US Army with the 4th Engineering Battalion from Jan. 1952 until his honorable discharge in Dec. 1953, achieving the rank of corporal and building bridges in post-war Europe. Bob worked in sales for Universal Bearings in Bremen for 27 years until his retirement in 1993.
He spent many years as an ambassador for the company and for Bremen, spreading friendship and sharing bags of Lehman’s mints as he traveled throughout the Midwest and Northeast. Bob’s greatest achievement and biggest blessing was his family.
He will be greatly missed by his children: Debra (David) Burcham, Chris (Susan) Fox, Steven (Joanna) Fox, and Julie (Dan) Fox; grandchildren; Jason (Sarah), Martin (Stephanie), Michael (Christina), Patrick (Kellie), Andrew (Kiyoko), Melissa (Jeffrey), Arizona (Noor), Megan (Sean), Matthew (Jasmine), Makayla, Garrett, and Ellen; 16 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
His brother, Charles “Chuck” Fox, preceded him in death Jan. 7, 2021.
There will be a private family memorial service on February 6, 2021. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Paul’s Lutheran Church 605 S Center St, Bremen, IN 46506.
