AVON, Ohio – The Crossroads League Athletes of the Week were announced on Monday, recognizing the league’s top athletes from January 18 through 24. Sports Information Directors from the league institutions nominate student-athletes for the awards and vote on each week’s winners.

Women’s Basketball Player of the Week
Taylor Gregory, Mount Vernon Nazarene
Gregory turned in a pair of 25-point gems to lead MVNU in back-to-back wins over Grace. The senior hit 21-of-30 shots, posted a double-double and averaged 25.0 points, 9.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks in the two games against the Lancers.

Men’s Basketball Player of the Week
Kyle Mangas, Indiana Wesleyan
Mangas led top-ranked Indiana Wesleyan to wins over No. 8 Marian and No. 24 Saint Francis, just missing a triple-double with 33 points, nine rebounds and nine assists against USF. Mangas averaged 31.0 points and 7.5 assists per game and shot 52.9 percent from deep in the pair of Top-25 showdowns.

Women’s Indoor Track and Field Runner of the Week
Emma Mott, Bethel
Mott won two events for the Pilots at the Indiana Wesleyan Invite, topping the field in the 1,000-meters and one mile. Mott’s time of 3:00.89 in the 1,000-meters was the fourth-best mark in that event in the NAIA so far this indoor season.

Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week
Erin Oleksak, Marian
Oleksak wasted no time getting back on top of the podium, winning the high jump at the Indiana State Invite and taking second place in the long jump and 60-meter hurdles. Oleksak’s height of 1.65 meters was the third-best NAIA mark in the high jump so far this season.

Men’s Indoor Track and Field Runner of the Week
Landon Miller, Indiana Wesleyan
Miller posted the fastest mile time in the NAIA so far this season, winning the race at the Indiana Wesleyan Invite with a time of 4:14.52. Miller also placed second in the 800-meters.

Men’s Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week
Thomas Jackson, Bethel
Jackson performed well for the Pilots at the IWU Invite, winning the long jump, taking second in the triple jump and finishing third in the 60-meters. Jackson’s marks of 7.48 meters and 14.10 meters in the long and triple jump were each top-six marks in the NAIA this season.
