North Webster Library Recognizes Beth Smith For Years Of Service

NORTH WEBSTER — The North Webster Community Public Library has recognized Beth Smith for 15 years of service.
Smith serves as director of Adult Services and the Local History and Genealogy Center as well as the library’s liaison to the Friends of the Library organization.
Smith joined the library staff in January 2006. She is responsible for adult programming as well as ordering books and materials. Under her tutelage, the library’s Local History and Genealogy Center was developed through which she is responsible for collecting and preserving local historical materials and artifacts.
She shares her expertise by teaching genealogy classes, assisting patrons with genealogy research and leading a group of local genealogists that meets weekly at the library.
Prior to joining the library staff, Smith worked as branch manager for a financial institution for 16 years. Growing up in Goshen, she graduated from Goshen High School and attended Marquette University in Wisconsin. She is certified by the Indiana State Library as a library specialist department head.
North Webster Community Public Library is located at 110 E. North Street. The library is open 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays. Curbside service is also available.
