North Webster Man Arrested Following Gun Incident
Staff Report
WARSAW — A North Webster man was recently arrested after allegedly threatening and pointing a gun at a man.
Cody Jacob Felger, 37, 49 EMS W19 Lane, North Webster, is charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon, a level 5 felony; pointing a firearm, a level 6 felony; and intimidation, a class A misdemeanor.
On Oct. 5, 2020, a Warsaw Police officer met with a man regarding intimidation in a business parking lot. The man told the officer he was picking someone up in his vehicle when he saw a Volkswagen blocking an available parking space while parked in a no-parking area.
According to court documents, the man asked the Volkswagen driver, later identified as Felger, to move the vehicle. Felger allegedly became argumentative and produced a handgun; he pointed the firearm at the man and told him to back up. Felger then left the scene in his Volkswagen.
The man gave the officer the Volkswagen’s license plate number, which was registered to a woman. A few hours after the incident, the officer contacted the woman and then spoke with Felger about the incident.
Felger said while he was parked, he was approached by another man in what he deemed to be an aggressive manner. Felger said the man did not threaten him in any way; he also said he had a handgun in the Volkswagen at the time but that it was laying on a seat during the argument.
Felger was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Jan. 20, with a $10,250 surety and cash bond.
