Glenn Young

Glenn L. Young, 74, Nappanee, passed away at 8:42 p.m., Monday, Jan. 18, 2021, at Vibra Hospital North West, Crown Point. He was born May 29, 1946, in Plymouth, to Ronald and Myrtle (Rensberger) Young.

Glenn was a Vietnam Army Veteran; he was active in the Nappanee American Legion Post 154. He had worked at Lycro Products in Wakarusa, and retired from Gulf Stream Coach in 2010. He enjoyed bowling, traveling, cooking and barbequing. Glenn was an automobile enthusiast, he enjoyed working on cars, building model cars and going to car shows.

Surviving are his children: Kristen Bennett, Dunlap; Lindsay Young, Nappanee; Travis (Shelbie) Young, Mountain Home, Idaho; grandchildren: Jaxon Brock and Corby Bennett; sisters: Cheryl (Kevin) Ramer, Goshen; Faith (Jack) Shambaugh, Warsaw; and a brother, Doyle Young, Bourbon. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Omar Young.

Family and friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, followed by a 7 p.m. memorial service all at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Military Rites by Nappanee American Legion Post 154 will take place after the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Nappanee American Legion Post 154.
