Dennis Michael ‘Denny’ Sharp — UPDATED
Dennis Michael “Denny” Sharp, 81, Milford, passed away at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021, at Paddock Springs Healthcare in Warsaw. He was born on May 31, 1939, in Warsaw, to Burris and Marybelle (Lentz) Sharp.
He was a lifetime Milford area resident, graduated in 1957 from Milford High School and from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University in Bloomington, where he was also part of the R.O.T.C. He was a United States Army veteran. He was married on Oct. 4, 1980, in Milford, to Judy L. (Baumgartner) Parker, who survives and was the former owner and operator of Sharp Hardware for 50+ years.
He was a member of United Methodist Church in Milford, Lions Club in Milford, Waubee Lake Association, and enjoyed restoring old cars.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Sharp, Milford; sons: Michael Sharp, Miami, Fla.; and Erik Sharp, Syracuse; daughter: Margie Slusser, Syracuse; two grandchildren: Cassidy Parker and Kailer Slusser; great-grandson: Elliot Slusser.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother: Richard Sharp.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, at Felkner Cemetery in Milford, with Pastor Rob Nelson officiating. Owen Family Funeral Home, 1001 S. Huntington St., Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
