Ralph ‘Lou’ Rose
Ralph “Lou” Rose, 81, Churubusco, passed away Jan. 14, 2021, at his home.
Born in Logansport Dec. 19, 1939, to the late Russell and Mildred (Nead) Rose. He spent his formative years in Logansport, graduating from Onward High School of Tipton Township.
After high school he served in the National Guard until 1963. Ralph was married to Marilyn Rohrer Aug. 14, 1983. He retired from Norfolk & Southern in December of 1989, where he worked as a Chief of Dispatch. Ralph was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and Coast to Coast Resorts. He always strived to live Romans 10: 8-11.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 37 years, Marilyn Rose; his son, Dave Rose; a daughter, Sharon Smith; two step-sons; Khris Royer and Scott Royer; two sisters, Mary Wilburn and Janice Kay; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Beatty; two sisters, Charlotte Becthal and Phillys Burke; a brother, Roger Rose; a step-son, Thomas Royer.
Memorial Services will take place at Fellowship of Wesley Chapel at 2 p.m. Jan. 23, with Pastor Larry Smith officiating. Family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.Saturday.
