Trump, Holcomb Direct Flags To Be Flown at Half-Staff
Staff Report
WASHINGTON, DC – Both President Donald Trump and Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb are directing flags to be flown at half-staff to honor United States Capitol Police Officers Brian Sicknick and Howard Liebengood.
The decision comes after rioters supporting President Donald Trump stormed the US Capitol. Sicknick was killed at the scene. Liebengood, who defended the Capitol on Wednesday, Jan. 6, died over the weekend, apparently by suicide, according to numerous reports.
Both orders call for flags to fly half-staff until sunset, Wednesday, Jan. 13.
Gov. Holcomb also asks businesses and residents in Indiana to lower their flags to half-staff.
