Martha “Cathy” C. Long, 67, Warsaw, passed away at 2:45 a.m. on Jan. 9, 2021.

Cathy was born the daughter of Andrew and Avis Hill Scarberry on May 28, 1953, at McArthur, Ohio, and she was a resident of this area all her life.

She was a homemaker and had previously worked as a CNA. In her spare time, she loved to sew, read, make quilts and play cards. She also played bingo and had a green thumb for flowers and indoor plants.

Those who will miss her smile are her son, David (Stephanie) Long, Tippecanoe, and her daughter, Katy (Jay) Kreft, Shawnee, Okla. She was also blessed with 11 grandchildren, David Long, Emmille Long, Audrey (Kyley) Walker, Belle (Bradley) Daverede, Thayer Kreft, Devon Kreft, Cambrie Kreft, Kyler Kreft, Easton Kreft, Sandria Kreft and Calder Kreft; six great-grandchildren; brothers David (Denise) Scarberry, Skyline, Ala., and Jim (Becky) Scarberry, Bourbon; and many nieces and nephews who survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandchild Foster Long; sister Sharon Hensley; and brothers Cliff and Pete Scarberry.

Friends may gather at Grace Fellowship Church, 18575 SR 331, Tippecanoe, for a viewing on Tuesday, Jan. 12, from 10-11:30 a.m. with a service following.

In keeping with current COVID-19 regulations, masks are required as well as for people to be mindful of social distancing with a restriction of 25 people during the visitation.
