Pets Of The Week
Press Release
PIERCETON — Pets of the Week are available for adoption at the Animal Welfare League, located at 1048 S. CR 325E, Pierceton.
Midas
This cat has the golden touch. Midas is a seven-year-old, neutered, male Domestic Short Hair mix. Midas has green eyes, as well as a brown and black striped coat with a white underside. This older gentleman enjoys lounging in warm laps and snuggling in soft blankets. Midas is front-declawed and weighs nine pounds. While staying at the AWL, he took up a part-time gig as a lap cat and helped office staff answer e-mails with his feline wisdom. Midas can be a little shy when meeting new friends and needs a little time to build his confidence. He is hoping to be adopted into a loving home where he can cozy up on a couch and watch movies. Call to make an appointment to visit Midas today.
Midas’ adoption fee is $65.
Xina
Meet our tongue out Tuesday champion Xina. She is a two-year-old, spayed, female American Staffordshire Terrier mix. She has gentle brown eyes, as well as a tan and white coat. She weighs 48 pounds. Xina is a cheerful and friendly pup who loves to make new friends. When first meeting guests at the AWL, she likes to show off how high she can jump because she is so excited. Once she calms down, she is very well-mannered and knows commands such as “sit” and “shake.” She walks politely on a leash and loves to play fetch. While she does well with children, Xina would prefer to be the only pet in the home. Call to make an appointment to see Xina today.
Xina’s adoption fee is $130.
