Michael Redinger
Michael Redinger, 69, Argos, passed away on Dec. 28, 2020, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He had been ill for several months and then contracted COVID-19.
Mike was born on April 10, 1951, to Ernest and Vivian (Vance) Redinger of Argos. He is survived by his siblings David Redinger, Argos; Ellen (Ray) Wolff, Warsaw; and Gloria Redinger, Bloomington, Ill.; niece Rachel (John) Gruet, Cedarville, OH; nephew Caleb Acton, Xenia, Ohio; and four great-nephews Chase, Devin, Trey and Brice Gruet, Cedarville, OH. Mike was preceded in death by his father, Ernest, in 2005, his mother, Vivian in 2010, and his elder sister, Jackie, in 1999.
He lived in Argos his entire life, graduating with the class of 1969 from Argos High School. His first job was hauling lumber for Wickes Lumber, Argos. He worked 29 years for Lemler Oil, Bourbon, before retiring in 2018.
Mike enjoyed participating in tractor pulls and then showing his Moline tractors at the Bourbon Antique Tractor and Engine Show. He enjoyed hunting with his father and brother, skeet shooting, and trapping. In the autumn of 1969 he travelled to South Dakota to hunt pheasant with his dad – a trip he thoroughly enjoyed.
