Stephen L. St. Clair
Stephen L. St. Clair, 75, Kewanna, (Fletcher’s Lake), passed away at 5:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, at his residence.
He was born on Jan. 24, 1945, in Logansport, the son of Devon A. “Dee” and Ellen Clare (Heater) St. Clair. He graduated from Caston High School and from Western New Mexico University, Silver City, N.M.
Steve had retired as an Appliance Salesman for Sears and had been owner operator of St. Clair Groceries and Campground at Fletcher’s Lake. He had been a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Lucerne, Grass Creek Lions Club and had attended Fletcher’s Lake United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughters, Stacee (Kelly Shanley) St. Clair, Denver; and Sally (Dwight) Dunwoody, Rochester. Also surviving are grandchildren: Griffin Shanley, David St. Clair, Jacob St. Clair, Clair Dunwoody, Andrew Dunwoody, Isabel Dunwoody, and Harrison Dunwoody, Rochester. The following siblings also survive: Susan Wallner of Denver, Colo.; Shirley (Noel) Hinman of Demotte; Samuel (Sara) St. Clair of South Whitley; and Sharon Nethercutt of Columbia City. Several beloved nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and twin siblings, Stanley Devon St. Clair and Sarah Ellen St. Clair.
Friends may visit from 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester. A private Funeral Mass will be conducted at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Rochester immediately following.
Visitors must follow state COVID-19 guidelines, including wearing a mask and social distancing. Memorial contributions may be made to the Grass Creek Lions Club.
