JoAnn Clayton
JoAnn Clayton, 83, Columbia City, formerly of North Webster, passed away at 6 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020, at Parkview Whitley Hospital in Columbia City. She was born on Dec. 14, 1937, in Nappanee, to Kirby and Alma (Reed) Robinson.
She graduated in 1955 from Warsaw High School and lived most of her life in the North Webster area until she moved to Columbia City eight years ago. She was a homemaker, worked in a few local factories, and cleaned homes and businesses.
She formerly attended the Church of God in North Webster and was a former member of the Hi Neighbors Club in North Webster.
She is survived by three daughters: Deb Minear of North Webster, Raetta (Manuel) Madriz of Warsaw, Mary Ann (Joel) Vorndran of Columbia City; two sons: James (Toni) Clayton and Ed (Judy) Clayton both of North Webster; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; brother, Lewis Robinson of Colorado Springs, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister – Lucille Rose, and son in law – Donald Minear.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. SR 15, Warsaw. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 29, at Owen Family Funeral Home, SR 13 and CR 500N, North Webster. Memorial services will follow at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home with pastor Myron Drent of the Country Bible Church officiating. Private burial will take place in Nappanee.
