Robert ‘Bob’ Lee Williams
Robert “Bob” Lee Williams, 79, Plymouth, passed away at 6:27 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020, at St. Joseph Health Systems, in Plymouth.
On Dec. 1, 1941, in Plymouth, he was born to Lester E. Williams and Irene E. (Cartwright) Williams. He had lived in the Argos community since 1972.
On Oct. 11, 1968, in Nappanee, he married Patricia A. Arndt and together they shared the past 52 years.
Bob was a truck driver for Aker Plastic in Plymouth, having retired in 1995.
He was a graduate of Nappanee High School with the class of 1959. Bob served in the United States Air Force from Jan. 31, 1963 till his honorable discharge on Jan. 24, 1967. He was a E-4 stationed at McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey as an air traffic operator. Bob was a member of the American Legion Post #68 of Argos; VFW Post# 1162 of Plymouth; and the DAV
Bob is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Williams, Plymouth, daughter,Bobbie Jo O’Dell and husband Jeff, Plymouth; son, Gary Lee Williams, Plymouth; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Leo Williams, Nappanee; and a sister, Peggy Scott, Havasau, Arizona.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother – Joe Williams
Funeral Services will be held at a later date with Matthew Arndt. Burial will take place at the Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana with the United States Air Force Honor Guard and James Lowell Corey American Legion Post #68, Argos, Indiana conducting Military Honors.
