Plymouth Girls 40, Triton 33
A slow start to the game had Plymouth gain momentum and hold off Triton Monday night at the Trojan Trench.
Triton held just a 3-2 lead after a period, but Plymouth responded with a 16-9 second quarter that wound up being the difference in the game. The two teams struggled from the floor, shooting a combined 33 percent (27-81) and commit a combined 53 turnovers.
Tallulah Gault led Plymouth with 14 points and Taylor Delp added nine points.
Triton (4-6) had Taren Yates lead the way with 16 points, seven steals and five rebounds, but also had 12 turnovers. Addyson Viers had five points and 10 rebounds and Lexia Hostrawser chipped in seven points, three rebounds and three assists.
Wawasee Boys C-Team 40, Goshen 35
Ty Brooks poured in 15 points to lead Wawasee to a win Monday at home.
Carson Smith added 11 points, Brayden Mickley had seven points and Aidan Monds had six points in the winning effort.
“Good team win against a tough Goshen squad,” said Wawasee coach Andrew Wilson, whose team moves to 4-3 on the campaign.
