Students At High School, Career Center Focus On Catching Up
Press Release
WARSAW — As Warsaw Community Schools closes the first semester of 2020-2021, Warsaw Community High School is implementing additional supports in place for students for the final week.
The administration shared that the focus will be on completing outstanding work, project completion, presentations, review and catching up due to the impact of COVID-19 rather than introducing new material with the possible exemption in AP and dual credit courses due to curriculum requirements.
Other supports being implemented include additional Student Resource Time (SRT), work sessions after school, and targeted pullout sessions during the school day. WCHS staff have noticed the impact that COVID-19 has had on students at every level and wants to give all students the opportunity to finish the semester well.
To assist students and parents in getting a clear picture of student’s progress, teachers have been requested to enter zeros for missing work. These zeroes will be replaced as missing work is turned in and graded.
Parents are encouraged to reach out to their child’s teacher, counselor or administrator if they have any questions.
