County Sees One New COVID-19 Death

WARSAW — According to the Indiana Department of Health website, Kosciusko County reported one new COVID-19 death, bringing the county’s total to 58. The county’s case number is now at 5,957, which is up from 5,772 reported on Friday, Dec. 11.
The Marshall County Health Department recently reported three additional COVID-19 deaths, bringing the county’s total to 61. All three deaths occurred on Friday, Dec. 11. Marshall County has 3,987 positive cases, which is up from 3,865 reported on Friday.
Statewide, the IDH website shows the number of COVID-19 deaths in Indiana rose to 6,530, which is up from 6,373 reported on Friday.
The total positive number of COVID-19 cases in Indiana is now at 430,401. More than 4,961,000 COVID-19 tests have been administered to Hoosiers.
Locally, Fulton County has 1,171 positive cases, Whitley County has 2,049 positive cases, which is up from 1,935 reported on Friday; and Wabash County has 2,300 positive cases, which is up from 2,219 reported on Friday. Noble County has 3,417 positive cases and Elkhart County has 20,831, which is up from 20,366 reported on Friday.
In other northern Indiana counties, Lake County has 35,098 positive cases, which is up from 33,850 reported on Friday; Allen County has 24,247 positive cases, which is up from 23,418 reported on Friday; and St. Joseph County has 21,779 positive cases, which is up from 21,095 reported on Friday.
According to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, more than 6,298,000 people in the United States have recovered from COVID-19.
