Bonnie Lou Solomon
Bonnie Lou (Fishburn) Solomon, 91, Argos, passed away at 1:30 a.m., Dec. 7, 2020, at her residence. On May 22, 1929, she was born to Donald W. Fishburn and Cristol Day (Irwin) Fishburn. Bonnie lived all of her life in the Argos community.
On October 12, 1946, in Richland Center, she married Everett “Bud” Walter Solomon. Together they shared the next 50 years with each other before Bud passed on June 11, 1996.
Bonnie was a clerk at Harvey’s Dime Store, Argos; worked at Hart/Schaffner/Marx in Rochester, and was a farmer’s wife and homemaker.
She was active with the First Baptist Church, Argos, and Plymouth Bible Baptist Church, Plymouth. Bonnie was very involved with the Marshall County Republican Party, having served as a Green Township Committeeman and always worked the voting polls.
Bonnie is survived by her daughters: Sheila Beers and husband Barney of Argos; and Lou Ann Norman and husband Lee of Terrell, Texas; son, Jerry Solomon, Argos; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Loy (Cheryl) Fishburn, Argos. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son David Solomon; brothers, Donald Devere Fishburn and Roy Fishburn; and sister, Bernita Hessler
Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 10, at the New Oakhill Cemetery, Plymouth, with Rev. Rick Lowe and Rev. John Fishburn burial will follow.
