Warsaw Man Arrested For Battering Woman

WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested after grabbing a woman by the neck and pushing her.
Timothy Christopher Bondy, 24, 885 Pine Mills Road, Warsaw, is charged with strangulation and intimidation, both level 6 felonies; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On Nov. 2, Warsaw Police officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute. When officers arrived, they spoke with a woman who said Bondy’s girlfriend kicked her service dog, causing the dog to experience a seizure. Officers learned the dog had been having seizures and experiencing failing health.
According to court documents, officers spoke with Bondy, who said he and his girlfriend had been arguing when she pushed him against a countertop. Officers did not see any injuries on Bondy and noticed he smelled of alcohol.
Officers then spoke with Bondy’s girlfriend, who said she was arguing with Bondy when he allegedly grabbed her by the neck with his hand for approximately 45 seconds. Bondy also pushed her to the floor.
The girlfriend provided officers with an audio recording of the argument she and Bondy had. In the recording, Bondy threatens to kill her.
No criminal charges have been filed regarding the alleged animal abuse.
Bondy has an initial hearing on this case at 1 p.m. Dec. 17.
