More Than Five Million Americans Have Recovered From COVID-19

WARSAW — According to the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center, more than 5,065,000 people in the United States have recovered from COVID-19.
Locally, according to the Indiana Department of Health website, Kosciusko County has reported one new COVID-19 death over the weekend.
This brings the county’s total to 42, with 4,840 positive COVID-19 cases. The death occurred on Sunday, Nov. 29.
IDH’s website is also reporting the following COVID-19 case numbers for area schools (these statistics are updated weekly on Mondays and are total reported numbers, not just newly reported cases):
- Argos Community Junior-Senior High School (Argos) — 13 student cases
- Bremen Senior High School (Bremen) — 16 student cases
- Columbia City High School (Columbia City) — 26 student cases
- Culver Academies (Culver) — 112 student cases; 14 staff cases
- Edgewood Middle School (Warsaw) — 17 student cases
- Fairfield Junior-Senior High School (Goshen) — 16 student cases
- Goshen Middle School (Goshen) — 17 student cases
- Goshen High School (Goshen) — 35 student cases
- Harrison Elementary School (Warsaw) — 13 student cases
- Indian Springs Middle School (Columbia City) — 10 student cases
- Lakeland Christian Academy (Winona Lake) — 15 student cases
- Lakeview Middle School (Warsaw) — 18 student cases
- Lincoln Junior High School (Plymouth) — 13 student cases
- Madison Elementary School (Warsaw) — 10 student cases
- Manchester Junior-Senior High School (North Manchester) — 23 student cases

In a seven-day time period, Warsaw Community High School has reported 20 new student cases.
Statewide, the latest posting on the IDH website shows the number of COVID-19 deaths in Indiana rose to 5,456, which is up from 5,328 reported on Friday, Nov. 27.
The total positive number of COVID-19 cases in Indiana is now at 338,977. More than 4,259,000 COVID-19 tests have been administered to Hoosiers.
Locally, Fulton County has 901 positive cases, Whitley County has 1,497 positive cases and Wabash County has 1,839 positive cases, which is up from 1,728 reported on Friday. Marshall County has 3,204 positive cases, which is up from 3,118 reported on Friday; Noble County has 2,741 positive cases and Elkhart County has 18,074 positive cases, which is up from 17,663 reported on Friday.
In other northern Indiana counties, Lake County has 29,183 positive cases, which is up from 28,094 reported on Friday; Allen County has 19,572 positive cases, which is up from 18,660 reported on Friday; and St. Joseph County has 17,808 positive cases, which is up from 17,256 reported on Friday.
