Deb Minear

NORTH WEBSTER — North Webster Community Public Library recently announced the appointment of Deb Minear to the library board of trustees.

Appointed by the Tippecanoe Township Advisory Board, Minear will serve the remainder of the term left vacant by Dr. Terry Frederick, who has moved out of the area.

Minear is a retired school teacher, having taught 28 years at North Webster Elementary School. Growing up in North Webster, she attended North Webster schools and graduated from Wawasee High School. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in education from Anderson College, now Anderson University, and a master’s degree from Ball State University.

A participating library patron and avid reader, she is also active in the library’s Friends of the Library organization. She believes she contributes to the board a passion for libraries and connection to the community.

“I have a passion for reading, and libraries have always been a huge part of my life,” said Minear.
