Guest Column: Ready To Serve As State Representative
By Craig Snow
INDIANAPOLIS — Last week, state lawmakers gathered in Indianapolis for Organization Day, the official start of the 2021 legislative session. I also took the oath of office to serve our community as state representative for House District 18.
It is an honor to serve and represent Grant, Miami, Kosciusko and Wabash counties at the Statehouse. I moved to Warsaw from Missouri in the eighth grade as my father began studying at Grace Theological Seminary. After graduating from Warsaw Community High School, I attended Grace College, earning a Bachelor of Science in business administration.
Prior to joining the Silveus Organization in 2006, where I now serve as chair of the board, I began my career at Zimmer and then held various leadership positions at DePuy-Synthes, each world-leading orthopedic companies. In 2010, I became chief executive officer of Cedar Holdings.
My wife, Sherri, and I live in Warsaw and have three adult children, Tyler, Kahler and Chloe. Sherri is a kindergarten teacher at Jefferson Elementary. We are members of Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church where we are active in adult Bible fellowship and I serve as chairman of the elder board.
I am eager to put my business experience and passion for serving others to work on behalf of those in our community and around Indiana.
Your thoughts and feedback on issues affecting our community and state are important and help me best serve you at the Statehouse. If you have a question related to state government, please reach out at 317-234-9028 or [email protected].
