NORTH WEBSTER — Looking for some new and different dishes for holiday meals this year? Check out the A-to-Z Food America database on North Webster Community Public Library’s website and explore America’s vast variety of cuisine and culture.
All about food, this searchable, user-friendly database can be explored by region, state or ethnic group. There you will find thousands of recipes from appetizers and main courses, to desserts and beverages including classic dishes and ethnic foods. Recipes can be printed and shared.
You will also find video tutorials on food preparation and cooking techniques as well as interesting facts and trivia. There is also a history section that includes vintage advertisements, food package labels, menus and information on what Americans ate in bygone years. A reference section contains even more information such as cooking conversions, glossaries, spices, farmers’ market directory and much more.
