WINONA LAKE – The town of Winona Lake is limiting access to town offices to those with appointments.
The move, which mirrors one issued Friday by the city of Warsaw, comes as cases of COVID-19 grows locally and nationally at the fastest rate since the pandemic began.
The change in policy is effective immediately.
A statement from the town reads:
“Due to circumstances that have occurred around the state and in our community, especially over the weekend in Winona Lake, and in order to preserve the safety of our town and our employees, effective immediately, on Monday, November 16, 2020 all town buildings are open to the public by appointment only. Masks will be required for all appointments.”
Residents can reach any town department by calling (574) 267-7581, or online at www.winonalake.net Utility bills may be paid via auto-pay, online, by mail, by using the Town Hall payment drop box, at the northeast corner of 1310 Park Ave.
Additionally, beginning Nov. 18, all town public meetings will be closed to public attendance. There will still be Zoom links provided as we move forward.
