Milford Library Offers Several Virtual Programs
Press Release
MILFORD — Milford Public Library is once again offering several virtual programs for November.
Beginning Monday, Nov. 16, “The Thanksgiving Show” will be available. Bob the peacock, who’s really a turkey but doesn’t want to admit it, will teach patrons about pilgrims and what it means to be thankful. Sign up at the adult circulation desk or by calling (574) 658-4312. Library staff will e-mail a YouTube link to those who sign up. The program will be available to watch from Nov. 16 through 28.
Have you ever wondered if connecting to nature has a benefit? Jackie Franks from the Purdue Extension office will explain how nature relieves stress, improves concentration and promotes physical health. Be sure to sign up for this virtual program in the adult department or by calling (574) 658-4312. A link will be e-mailed out on Nov. 30 and will be available until Dec. 5.
Lego Crew Winners
In October, library staff challenged children to create their own amusement parks out of Legos. Several great parks were submitted; judges voted Ruby and Della Beer as the contest’s winners. The girls worked together to build an amazing amusement park, winning a 191-piece Star Wars Lego kit. With a new month comes a new challenge. Library staff challenges children to build a turkey out of Legos in the month of November. Parents, please send a photo of your children’s turkey creations to [email protected] by Monday, Nov. 23.
