ATWOOD – Injuries appeared apparent in a crash that closed down the eastbound lanes of US 30 near Atwood Wednesday night, Nov. 11.

The accident happened east of CR 650W around 6:30 p.m.

Three cars appeared to be involved. The back end of one vehicle sitting in the road was demolished. Another car was in the ditch south of the highway. A third vehicle appeared to have some damage and was parked along the shoulder of the road.

A medical helicopter arrived quickly and waited in a nearby field.

Eastbound traffic was temporarily diverted to Old Road 30.

No other details were immediately available.

One of the cars ended up in a ditch.
