Erica Ann Englehart Waybright
Erica Ann (Englehart) Waybright, 35, of Columbia City, Indiana, passed away Friday, November 6, 2020, at her home with her family by her side. Born February 18, 1985, in Tiffin, Ohio, she was the daughter of Jeffrey and Gail (Chapman) Englehart.
Growing up in Tiffin, Erica from an early age enjoyed arts and crafts. She also enjoyed cheerleading and while attending Calvert Catholic High School, she played tennis, was involved with a girls club and school plays. She went on to graduate with the Class of 2003. Before graduation, Erica was introduced to Michael Waybright via her friend’s sister and her life would be forever changed. She and Michael, who lived in Indiana, would go on to talk on the phone since they were over two hours apart, but that did not discourage them. They began dating and a year and a half later, they were married on August 14, 2004, at Merriam Christian Chapel with Pastor David Wagner officiating.
Erica worked for 12 years with Parkview North Hospital. After becoming a mother, she focused on taking care of her husband and children. She adored them and loved watching her daughter as she danced and was there cheering on her son as he played sports. She loved being a baseball and basketball mom. Erica was a member of Collamer Christian Church in South Whitley. She will be remembered for her gentleness, loving and sweet nature and being kind to others.
Erica is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Michael Waybright, son, Camden Waybright; daughter, Brielle Waybright; parents, Jeff and Gail Englehart; brother, Aaron (Taylor) Englehart; grandparents, John and Pat Englehart and Paul Chapman; in-laws, Duane and Janet Waybright; and a host of other loving family members.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 2-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov.10, 2020, at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City.
With the current Executive Order, face masks are required for attendance. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor David Wagner officiating.
