Patricia Joan Juillerat
Patricia Joan Juillerat, 84, formerly of Larwill, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 8:20 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, 2020, at Miller’s at Oak Pointe, Columbia City, where she had been a resident since September.
She was born on July 24, 1936, in Whitley County, a daughter of the late Bert and Gwendolyn (Ward) Menzie. She grew up in the Larwill area, where she attended Larwill High School.
On Feb. 19, 1953, she married James Eugene Juillerat. They made their home in the Larwill area. After her husband James died in March 2003, she moved to Columbia City.
For many years, she worked as a clerk in area drug stores, including Zale Drugs in Warsaw.
She and her husband enjoyed visiting Myrtle Beach, S.C., where they had relatives. After their retirement, they made Myrtle Beach their residence for about seven years before moving back to the area.
Patricia enjoyed crochet, making afghans. Always delighting in shopping, in more recent years, she became a regular viewer of the QVC shopping network. She enjoyed going to the Senior Center to meet with her friends. She also liked to play Rummy-O with her friends and family.
Until she was no longer able, she attended Warsaw Community Church.
She is survived by a son; a daughter, Cynthia Able, Larwill; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Additionally, she was preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Wheeler.
A memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at Smith & Sons Funeral Home, Columbia City, with burial at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton, immediately following. A gathering of family and friends will be noon until the service Saturday at the funeral home.
