On Saturday, Oct. 17, 2020, Virginia May (Darrah) Foster, loving grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, passed away at Miller’s Merry Manor of Wabash at the age of 102.
She was born on June 30, 1918, in Modoc to Leonard and Leona (Barker) Darrah. She married Charles Foster on March 20, 1939, and had four children, Charles David, Linda, Keith and Charles (Curt).
Virginia loved to read, assemble puzzles and play dice and bingo. She will be remembered by family for being incredibly loving and funny.
Virginia is survived by her son-in-law, Mike White, Mesick, Mich.; daughter-in-law Joan Foster, Wabash; daughter-in-law Robin Foster, San Diego, Calif.; grandchildren Dean (Cheri) White, Cadillac, Mich., Shannon (Jennifer) White, Ellsworth, Mich., Amanda Foster (Sean Kennedy), Washington, D.C., Austin (Emily) Foster, Indianapolis, Matthew Foster, San Diego, Calif., and Jill Foster, San Diego, Calif.; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Foster; daughter Linda White; son Keith Foster; son Charles C. Foster; son Charles D. Foster; granddaughter Heaven Foster; her sisters, Gladys (Darrah) Coy, Mary (Darrah) Scott, Elizabeth (Darrah) Prentiss, Esther (Darrah) Thomas, Betty (Darrah) Day and Rhea (Darrah) Cadwell; and her only brother, Leonard Darrah.
In honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home is privileged to be entrusted with the care of the family in making arrangements.
